Podocarpus totara ‘Matapouri Blue’ is a striking, native evergreen with soft, blue-grey foliage that gives it a unique and elegant presence in any landscape. In New Zealand conditions, it typically grows to around 3 to 5 metres tall, but can be trimmed to maintain a smaller size. It’s ideal for formal hedging, screening, or as a feature shrub. ‘Matapouri Blue’ is hardy, wind-tolerant, and copes well with coastal conditions. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil, and looks fantastic when regularly clipped for shape.
